'Outlaw' Jesse Vavricka delivered a crushing tackle on VC QB Tyler Schier causing a turnover that was recovered by Warrior DE Drew Jensen giving the 10th ranked Warriors the ball on the VC 43 late in the third quarter.
Senior RB HR Rotolo scored his 8th touchdown of the season on the first MV play of the possession on a 43 yard gallop to give the Warriors the lead 21-14 with the PAT by Russell Aldave.
Warrior RB James Ferrier would put the game on ice later in the fourth quarter with a TD on a 50 yard run. That touch was the ninth of the season for the Warrior junior.
The Warriors took an early lead with a pair of first quarter scores. Warrior QB Nick Iannuzzi scored the first MV touchdown on a 12 yard QB option and Rotolo, who had six TD's coming in, scored his first of the game on a 25 yard run. Aldave was 3-4 for PAT's for the
game and is now 19-21 for the season.
VC staged a bit bit if a comeback with a second quarter score and tied it up with another score midway through the third quarter before the fumble-causing sack by Vavricka setting up the score by Rotolo.
The Warriors, 3-0 S-IX Class AA, 5-0 overall, see action again this coming Friday when they host rival Port Jervis. Kickoff is 7:00pm.
